Who we are
Crowdepth is run by Altura Media LLC. These terms cover your account and everything you do on Crowdepth: joining artists, watching, liking, commenting and uploading. If we change them, we'll say so here and date the change.
Who can use it
Accounts are for people 13 and older. Uploading and commenting are 18+; fans 13 to 17 can watch and like. One person per email address.
Watching needs an account, never a link: once you're signed in you can follow any artist and watch the fan clips from every one of their concerts. A “concert” here is any live event an artist lists.
Posting, and being verified
Posting to a concert is for the people who were there. Scanning the code in the room verifies you for that concert at once; it isn't a ticket check, and an artist can close a code that got out. If you came in through the artist's bio or a story, you pick the show you were at and add your clips. The artist's team checks every clip before it's shown.
For now, a clip is your proof. When the team approves a video or photo of yours for a show, we count you as there for that concert. If that clip is later taken down because it wasn't from that show, and no other approved clip of yours is left on that concert, we stop counting you as there, and the badge and points go with it. A clip taken down for any other reason takes only its own points: the badge stays. A text message never counts.
“Were you there?” is switched off for now. When it's on, a fan who came in through a bio or a story sends a photo of their ticket or of them at the show, and the artist's team checks it; nothing of theirs goes live until both the proof and the clip are approved, and if the team can't confirm they were there, those clips are hidden. We may switch it back on.
For now, a concert stays open for posting from the night of the show on, so you can add clips from older concerts. The code in the room still verifies only until 21 days after the show. We may go back to closing every concert for posting 21 days after the show; it always stays open to watch.
The artist's own posts, badges and banners
For now, an artist's own posts from a concert are shown to anyone signed in, like fans' clips. We may go back to showing them only to the fans verified at that concert. A fan we count as there gets a gold badge for that concert on their profile and a banner they can download. A badge says you were there and nothing more: it can't be sold or passed on, it has no cash value, and we can remove one that was earned with a false proof, or with a clip that wasn't from that show or wasn't yours.
Points
Your points are one number: 10 for each concert you were at, 3 for each approved video or photo, 1 for each published comment and 1 for each month since you followed an artist. You see them on your Profile, other fans see them on your profile, and an artist's team sees the part you earned with that artist. Points say how much you've done here and nothing more: they can't be sold, swapped or passed on, they have no cash value, and we can change how they're counted or take back points earned by breaking these terms.
Your profile
Your profile is made from what you do on Crowdepth: you can't edit it. Anyone signed in can see it, and your name on a clip or a comment links to it, unless you switch it off in Settings. What it shows, and what it never shows, is in the Privacy Policy.
Your uploads stay yours
When you upload a photo or video, you keep your copyright.
What you let us do
You give Altura Media LLC a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, permanent licence that you can't take back, to store, show, edit, caption, combine, share, sell and license your upload, anywhere, including in ads, and to pass those rights on to others: the artist whose show it is, and editors, agencies and buyers.
You can ask us to hide your upload from public view at any time. The licence stays, and posts, ads and sales already made with it can stay up. Clips an artist already reposted on their own accounts can't be recalled by us.
Licensing your clip doesn't cover the music or the performance in it. Those belong to the artist, and we only show clips with the artist's written OK.
Credit
We credit your name, or your Instagram handle if you gave one, when it's practical. Sometimes it won't be, for example in a fast-cut reel.
Your promises
- You filmed or took it yourself.
- It's from the show you picked.
- It doesn't break any law or anyone's rights.
- It doesn't show anyone in a private or intimate moment.
- Any proof you send that you were at a show is real, and it's yours.
What we remove
Anything that breaks the house rules. Artists can hide anything from their own page. We close the accounts of people who break the rules again and again.
Copyright
If a clip uses your copyrighted work, send a notice with our copyright form or to our designated agent, [agent to be registered], [P.O. box to be opened], admin@alturaadmin.com. We take the clip down and tell the person who posted it, who can send a counter-notice. The copyright page explains both.
Repeat infringers: when we act on 3 copyright notices against one account within 12 months, that account can't upload any more, and we may close it.
Private images and “that's me”
Anyone can ask us to remove a clip with our removal form, from any clip's ⋯ menu or the footer. You don't need an account. A request about an intimate image, or about you or your child, usually hides the clip the moment you send it. Intimate images and their identical copies come down within 48 hours of a complete request; “that's me” requests within 72 hours. You can also email admin@alturaadmin.com.
Leaving and deleting
You can leave an artist or delete your account any time in Settings. Leaving an artist keeps the badges you earned; you can still watch. Deleting your account removes your name, email and phone, and your clips come down within 30 days. Your profile is gone at once. Licences you already gave stay, as described above.
Links out
Buttons for tickets and merch, and the links on an artist's page and link page, go to other companies, whose own terms apply. An artist's videos play in YouTube's player, under YouTube's terms.

We provide Crowdepth as it is. We aren't liable for losses from using it, as far as the law allows.
